The development of clear, concise print collateral is essential to business.
Over the past fifteen years, I've had the opportunity to create hundreds of pieces of print, ranging from technical manuals, white papers, one pagers, and everything inbetween. I've also generated physical content from brochures to trade show booths to business cards and more, always enjoying the challenge of designing to the constraints of real-world limitations.
One thing is certain in SaaS technology: collaboration between companies, products, and platforms is essential to success.
A fundamental aspect of that collaboration is the development of clear, concise collateral that explains the benefits of these partnerships to end users. This collaborative push requires content AND brand / design concepts to be shared between (and approved by) multiple organizations, which I've thoroughly enjoyed.
When done correctly, all parties win — businesses and consumers alike.
One of the technical challenges to overcome in print collateral is to develop a template that allows for quick development AND the flexibility to work with various types of content developed — when establishing a brand, it's critical to create these templates to add a level of cohesion to company documents, but also to allow for the quick generation of new content.
I also pride myself on the custom illustrations (both technical and conceptual) that I make for each piece of print collateral, in order to best tell a story to customers and clients alike; below are a few examples.
After designing a successful campaign in Delta Sky Magazine, I was again contacted by EnergyPoints to create a brochure highlighting the merger of data analysis and energy-based solutions.
When designing to explain what your company does now AND what they're inspired to do in the future, I find rich visuals and compelling quotes from recognized industry leaders works pretty well.
EnergyPoints was acquired shortly thereafter by Lux Research.
The first touch one has when meeting with clients (current and potential alike) comes with a handshake and a businesscard exchange. I designed these cards to leave an impression; 120# stock, with an elegant silver foil embossment on a sea of the companies' primary color. The front of the card contains information on how to connect across a series of platforms, and the ordering process was automated to be generated by way of an online portal.
Part of a series celebrating quarterly competitive wins for Brightedge Technologies; this sort of internal sales promotion is a great tool in inspiring the sales team to continue to generate new revenue streams. An important part of being a good citizen of this world is to volunteer one's time, skills, or money to support those less fortunate. I have volunteered my design skills to raise funds for local Senior Citizen groups (the Senior Coastsiders), the American Heart Association, and Saint Jude's Children's Hospital, amongst others.
